The team behind CircularBlades combines expertise in circular economy, wind energy and sustainable urban development.
Marcel Jost is an entrepreneur and sustainability pioneer with over 15 years of experience in the circular economy and renewable energies. He recognized early the enormous potential of end-of-life wind turbine rotor blades and founded CircularBlades with the vision of transforming these materials into high-quality infrastructure products. His deep knowledge of the wind energy industry and his network of wind farm operators in Switzerland and Europe form the foundation of the company.
Production partner Anmet holds several patents on upcycling processes for wind turbine rotor blades, used exclusively for CircularBlades products.
CircularBlades is based on peer-reviewed research on the characterisation of end-of-life wind turbine blade components (Johst, 2025, Sustainability Journal) and the findings of the Re-Wind Network.
Comprehensive market analysis and potential assessment for wind turbine blade upcycling in the DACH region and Europe. Market volume by 2030: CHF 850 million.
Connections to wind farm operators in Switzerland (12 operators), Germany and Europe. Active collaboration with Re-Wind Network (USA, Ireland, UK) and Anmet (Poland).
